Status of Corporate Governance

The vision of Astroscale is to secure the safe and sustainable development of space for the benefit of future generations. We aim to maximize corporate value by providing on-orbit servicing such as debris removal. Effective corporate governance is one of our top priorities in realizing our vision and maximizing value.
Pursuant to policies approved by the Board of Directors, our aim is to maximize speed of execution by delegating authority and responsibility to each executive director and c-suites, and to establish an effective compliance structure and efficient management system by enhancing fairness and transparency in management.

Overview and background of our corporate governance system

Astroscale adopts the structure of “Company with Audit and Supervisory Board” pursuant to Japanese law. We believe this system, which enables supervision of business execution by the board of directors and supervision of legal compliance by the corporate auditors, is the optimal solution to pursue efficient management and ensure appropriate oversight of management.
