Chris Blackerby, former NASA Attaché in Asia, and senior space policy official in the U.S. Embassy Tokyo, has joined ASTROSCALE PTE. LTD. as Chief Operating Officer. On July 14, 2017, ASTROSCALE announced the successful completion of a Series C funding round. The Founder and CEO of Astroscale, Nobu Okada had a chance to meet with His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Japan in person. Mr. Okada explained space debris issue as well as Astroscale’s first two missions, IDEA OSG1 (sub-millimeter sized debris monitoring satellite) and ELSA-d (spacecraft retrieval servicing satellite).
